AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT AND CORRECTION TO SECTION 12
ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONES IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE BY
DELETING SEXUALLY ORIENTED BUSINESS AS A ZONING DISTRICT
The Mohave County Zoning Ordinance is amended as follows: Language to added is bolded and
language to be deleted is struck.
Amend SECTION 12 ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONES as follows:
A. Zones. In order to classify and segregate the uses of land buildings, the following zones are
hereby established:
A General
A-D Airport Development Zone
A-R Agricultural Residential
R-E Residential-Recreation
R-1 Single Family Residential
R-MH Residential Mobile Homes
R-TT Residential-Mobile Home and Travel
Trailers
R-M Multiple-Family Residential
R-O Single Family Residential Houses Only
R-O/A SFR/Homes Only/Limited Animal Use
S-D Special Development
C-1 Neighborhood Commercial
C-2 General Commercial
C-2H Highway Commercial
C-RE Commercial Recreation
C-M Commercial Manufacturing
C-MO Commercial Manufacturing-Open Lot
Storage
M General Manufacturing
M-X Heavy Manufacturing
R-P Regional Parks
C-P Community Parks
N-P Neighborhood Parks

RESOLUTION NO. 2004-433
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH ORDINANCE NO. 2004-02 ADOPTING AN
AMENDMENT AND CORRECTION TO SECTION 12 ESTABLISHMENT OF ZONES IN THE
MOHAVE COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE BY DELETING SEXUALLY ORIENTED
BUSINESS AS A ZONING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on October 4,
2004, a public hearing was conducted concerning an amendment and notice of correction regarding
sexually oriented business as a zoning district, and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 1995, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors adopted BOS
Resolution 1995-159 which established limitations and standards for establishing sexually oriented
businesses in Mohave County, and
WHEREAS, through a typographical error, "sexually oriented business" was added to the list of
zoning districts in Section 12 of the Mohave County Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS,the Board of Supervisors has not created such a zone, and
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning commission
on September 8, 2004, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of the attached Mohave County
Ordinance No. 2004-02, an amendment and notice of correction regarding sexually oriented business as
a zoning district, and
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, on September 19, 2004, and was posted on
September 17, 2004, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning
Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular
meeting on Monday, October 4, 2004, APPROVED the attached Mohave County Ordinance No. 2004-
02, an amendment and notice of correction regarding sexually oriented business as a zoning district, as
recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
