A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR A ZONING USE PERMIT
ON PARCEL 7A, STOCKTON HILL RANCHES, UNIT XII, IN SECTION 5, TOWNSHIP 23
NORTH, RANGE 16 WEST, FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A DOG KENNEL IN AN A-R/I0A
(AGRICULTURAL-RESIDENTIALITEN ACRE MINIMUM LOT SIZE) ZONE, IN THE
MOHA VE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on April 1 ,
1996, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether an Extension of Time for a Zoning Use Permit
should be granted for the above described property as requested by Pamelia R. McConnell Lagerway of
Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this property is located north of Kingman, east of Stockton Hill Road and north of
Calle Lucero Road. The site is accessed from Stockton Hill Road via east on Calle Lucero Road to Dubois
Drive, then north on Dubois Drive to North Yeater Road, then west on North Yeater Road to the site. The
property is located on the south side of North Yeater Road approximately one-eighth mile west of Dubois
Road. The property is flat and has two travel trailers and a pickup camper shell on it. The surrounding land
is vacant, except for several travel trailers to the southeast. There are no significant drainage patterns
crossing the property. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as a Suburban Development
Area. The Long Mountain Area Plan designates this as RR-5A (Rural ResidentiallFive Acre Minimum Lot
Size), and
WHEREAS, this Zoning Use Permit was conditionally approved by the Mohave County Board of
Supervisors on March 10, 1995 via BOS Resolution No. 95-102, and
WHEREAS, the applicant requested in a letter dated January 4, 1996, that the Zoning Use Permit
be extended for one year. The letter stated that due to personal reasons she needed an extension oftime, and
WHEREAS, this will be the first Extension of Time for this property, and
WHEREAS, a review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-0200B indicates the parcel described to be
in Zone C, not in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.

c. The site is adequate for the action intended and the use is consistent with the surrounding
terrain.
d. The site has legal access.
e. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site.
f. This action complies with the approved Extension of Time Policy.
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
March 13, 1996, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an Extension of Time for a Zoning Use
Permit subject to the following:
I. Continued compliance with the conditions ofBOS Resolution No. 95-102.
2. This Extension of Time will be in effect until March 10, 1997.

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, March 17, 1996, and posted March 15, 1996, as
required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, April 1, 1996, APPROVED this Extension ofTirne for a Zoning Use Permit as recommended
by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
