NE'I. OF SECTION 25, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, IN THE KINGMAN AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on June 3, 1996, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an Abandonment for the above described property to Harry T. and Roberta 1. Ludlow, and David M. Nelson of Kingman, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the site is approximately one-quarter mile north ofKingrnan. Access to the site is from Stockton Hill Road, then east on Christianson Avenue approximately one-quarter mile to Edie Drive. The site is located east ofEdie Drive and terminates at the edge of the Kingman Ranch Mobile Home Park, and WHEREAS, a review of FEMA FIRM Panel #040058-2165 indicates the land described to be in Zone C, not a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area, and WHEREAS, following are Findings of Fact for the above captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action is in conflict with the Mohave County Subdivision Regulations. c. The property is designated an Urban Development Area. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on May 8, 1996, the Commission recommended DENIAL of the Abandonment based upon the following: I. This roadway could provide emergency vehicle access into the Kingman Ranch Mobile Home park in the event the main access along Jagerson Avenue is blocked. 2. This roadway may be necessary to provide adequate traffic circulation, if a change in use occurs on the mobile home park property which requires additional access. 3. The abandonment of this roadway will create an excessively long block which is contrary to the Mohave County Subdivision Regulations. ., ..... --- . . RESOLUTION NO. 96-217 PAGE 2 OF 2 BK 2742 PG 233 FEE~9630648 Page 2 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, May 19, 1996, and posted on May 17, 1996, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, June 3, 1996, DENIED this Abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
