providing a comprehensive and efficient road network by obstructing the future extension
of Escalante Boulevard to Pierce Ferry Road when growth in the area warrants.
d. The Abandonment will not deny legal access to other private land holdings.
e. There are no significant environmental factors affecting the site.

WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
January 8, 1997, the Commission recommended DENIAL for an Abandonment based on the following:

Boulevard to Pierce Ferry Road. There may be a future need to allow the extension of
Escalante Boulevard to Pierce Ferry Road as this area develops.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, January 18, 1997 and January 25, 1997, and posted
January 17, 1997, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, February 3, 1997, DENIED this Abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
