RESOLUTION NO. 96-253
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH A REQUEST FOR AN ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION
OF SHORE AVENUE BEGINNING AT THE NORTHERN BORDER OF SECTION 12 AND
ENDING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 1, MEADVIEW FOOTHILLS, TRACT 1198,
IN A PORTION OF THE NE'I. NE'I. OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST,
IN THE MEADVIEW PORTION OF THE MOHA VE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHA VE
COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on July I,
1996, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for an Abandonment
ofa portion of the 60-foot dedicated roadway as requested by Donald A. and Mary L. Dinella of Meadview,
Arizona,and
WHEREAS, the site is approximately 70 miles north of Kingman. Access to the site is from Pierce
Ferry Road via east on Mead Lane/Meadview Boulevard, approximately two miles to Shore A venue. This
is approximately two-thirds mile north of the Meadview Boulevard/Shore Avenue intersection. The site
begins approximately 230 feet north of the Separation Drive/Shore Avenue intersection and extends
northward approximately 865 feet to the northern border of Section 12, and
WHEREAS, a review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-1300 indicates the land described to be in
Zone C, not a FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area, and
WHEREAS, the following are Findings of Fact for the above captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action does not conflict with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The property is designated a Rural Development Area and Outlying Community.
d. The existing right-of-way traversing the drainage parcel has not been improved or
maintained by the county.
e. The Abandonment will not deny legal access to other private land holdings in the area.
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
June 12, 1996, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an Abandonment subject to the following:
I. A new 45-foot radius hammerhead cul-de-sac bulb be dedicated at the new terminus of Shore
A venue by separate instrument.

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in the Kingman Daily Miner, a newspaper of
genercl ::i:c:.:!ation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, June 16 and June 23,1996 and posted on June
14, 1996, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, July 1, 1996, APPROVED this Abandonment as recommended by the Mohave County Planning
and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
