OF SECTION 14, TOWNSHIP 19 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, IN THE SOUTH MOHA VE VALLEY AREA, MOHA VE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on June 2, 1997, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether an Abandonment and Reversion to Acreage should be granted for the above-described lots as requested by the Mohave Valley Elementary School, District No.1 6, represented by G. Kelly Grier of Burton Engineering, Mohave Valley, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the site is east of Arizona State Highway 95 and north of Camp Mohave Road. Access to the site is from Highway 95 via east on Camp Mohave Road, then north on Calle Del Media to the site. The 15-acre site is on the northeast corner of Calle Del Media and La Entrada Place, and WHEREAS, the owner proposes the lot abandonment to clear the land's title for a new elementary school site serving approximately 600 students. Lots 64 through 74 are relatively level. Further north, Lots 79 through 84 include the toe of a moderate slope. The General Plan designates this area as a Low Density Residential, Urban Development Area, and WHEREAS, Citizens Utilities Company, Mohave Electric Cooperative, Southwest Gas, and various cable television providers have reviewed the owner's petition and have no objection to the lots being abandoned and reverted to acreage, and WHEREAS, a review ofFEMA FIRM Panel #040058-2435D indicates the lots described to be in Zone AO, in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area with base flood levels between one and two feet, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The site is adequate for the action intended and the use is consistent with the surroundings and terrain. d. The lots are currently unoccupied. e. The site has legal access. f. The site has no significant environmental features except the above-mentioned Special Flood Hazard Area. .t \, . PAGE 2 OF 2 BK 2912 PG 514 FEE~9730364 . RESOLUTION NO. 97-176 Page 2 WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on May 14, 1997, the Commission recommended APPROVAL for an Abandonment and Reversion to Acreage, and - WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, May 17, 1997, and May 24,1997, lUld posted May 16, 1997, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, June 2, 1997, APPROVED this Abandonment and Reversion to Acreage as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
