WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
July 9, 1997, the Commission recommended DENIAL for the proposed Amendmentto BOS Resolution No.
96-345, setting forth a Rezone of Parcel 46, based upon the following:
1. The amount of additional traffic that will be generated by this project is estimated to exceed
200 trips per day on the weekend and, therefore, justifies the requirement that the access road
be paved. In addition, the amount of dust that will be created by the expected increase in
traffic would be a burden to the adjacent residents and would decrease the air quality of this
area. Also, the Mohave County Public Works Department is concerned that the dust created
by this additional traffic could cause a visibility hazard for the traffic on State Highway 68.
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, July 19,1997, and posted on July 18,1997, as required
by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, August 4, 1997, DENIED this Amendment to BOS Resolution No. 96-345, setting forth a
Rezone of Parcel 46, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and
outlined herein.
