WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on October 6, 1997, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for a Road Renaming in the described area, and WHEREAS, the proposed road to be renamed is accessed from State Highway 95 via east on La Entrada to the road bearing the old name of Gran Circulo, which will be the North Half of said road, extending approximately 1,600 feet, to the intersection of La Entrada and Gran Circulo. The proposed road name fronts Blocks CC, DD, EE, and FF, TIERRA VERDE, Tract 1073-A, and Blocks GG, HH, G and H, TIERRA VERDE, Tract 1073-B, and WHEREAS, this request has been reviewed and approved by the Mohave County Rural Addressing Coordinator. Addresses issued along Gran Circulo do not conform to standard addressing conventions. Since the sequencing of numbers is not logical and duplicate numbers have been issued, the response time for emergency services and parcel delivery has suffered and delays have occurred. The only solution to correct this problem is to rename the northern portion of Gran Circulo, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to reglliations. b. Duplication of addresses exists on Gran Circllio, which may create confusion for emergency services responding to 911 calls. c. Conventional addressing methods will not work on a circular street. d. The renaming of a portion of the street and the assignment of unique addresses will ensure proper emergency response to the right address, and ensure correct mail and service delivery. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on September 10, 1997, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of LUNA MEDIA as the proposed road name, and J . . PAGE 2 OF 2 BK 2974 PG 101 FEE~9755417 RESOLUTION NO. 97-347 Page 2 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, September 20, 1997, and posted on September 19, 1997, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Reglliations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their reglliar meeting on Monday, October 6, 1997, APPROVED LUNA MEDIA as the proposed road name as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
