WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in session this 17~h day of
February, 1998, and;
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County acknowledged and referred to
the Mohave County Transportation Commission the Petition to Establish Cottonwood Road as a
County Highway on the 4~h day of August, 1997, and;
WHEREAS, in their October 14, 1997 meeting, the Mohave County Transportation
Commission reviewed the Petition and unanimously voted to recommend to the Mohave County
Board of Supervisors to accept the Request to Establish Cottonwood Road as a County Highway,
and;
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of January, 1998, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave
County, Arizona, set February 17, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mohave County Board of
Supervisors Meeting Room for Public Hearing the request to Establish Cottonwood Road as a
County Highway, and;
WHEREAS, a map and description of said proposed Highway was available and the
right-of-way status has been reviewed by the County Engineer and deter:,4ned that the right-of-
way has been or may be acquired for Public Roadway use by purchase, public easement,
dedication or grant, and;
WHEREAS, said hearing was held at the time and place set, and the Mohave County
Board of Supervisors invited comment and considered the feasibility, advantages, disadvantages,
and necessity of said proposed County Highway, and;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Petition to Establish Cottonwood
Road as a County Highway from U.S. Highway 93 (East line of Sec 8, T24N, R19W) to Lake
Mead National Recreation Area Boundary line (East line of Sec 11, T24N, R22W) is hereby
ACCEPTED.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17t~ day of February, 1998.
