HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-095 RESOLUTION NO. 98- 95 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF EMPIRE ROAD AND PLANTATION DRIVE. MOHAVE VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Hohave County met in regular session on kiarch 09,1998; and WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and maintain traffic control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic; and WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Committee was established to review the warrants and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Mohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the circumstances surrounding the warrants for posting traffic control devices on certain roads as presented herein; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has made its recommendation for the posting of traffic control devices on such roads, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed by the Board of Supervisors to place the following traffic control devices as recommended by the I~lohave County Department of Engineering and the Traffic Safety Committee: Post an additional stop sign at the northeast corner of the intersection of Empire Road and Plantation Drive so as to continue with the current traffic pattern and stop traffic on Empire Road for traffic on Plantation Drive.
