HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-182 RESOLUTION NO. 98-182 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in Special Session this 20th day of April, 1998, and WHEREAS, there is a growing concern regarding the contamination of ground as well as Colorado River water which is the source of drinking water for Arizona, Mexico, and Southern California, and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has deteimined that it would be in the best interest of the citizens of Mohave County to join other governmental entities in the creation of the Colorado River Regional Sewer Coalition for the purpose of complying with Federal and State guidelines providing for the safe disposal of sewage in an environmentally safe manner, and WHEREAS, Buster Johnson, Mohave County Supervisor, District 2, was appointed to serve as Mohave County's delegate to the Colorado River Regional Sewer Coalition, and WHEREAS, the Colorado River Regional Sewer Coalition, has requested that Mohave County support their participation by the adoption of a resolution. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Mohave County joins the City of Blythe, California; City of Bullhead City; City of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; City of Needles, California; La Paz County, Arizona; Ft. Mojave Indian Tribe and the Town of Parker, Arizona, in supporting the efforts of the Colorado River Regional Sewer Coalition. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of April, 1998.
