RESOLUTION NO. 93-375 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in Regular session this 6th day of December, 1993, and WHEREAS, the City of Kingman wishes to expand recreational opportunities to both city and county residents by making the ten acres of County land adjacent to Centennial Park available to the City for park development, and WHEREAS, the City of Kingman has a substantial allocation of Colorado river water that may be reallocated in the next year, and WHEREAS, the City of Kingman's city council has indicated that this water should stay in Mohave County, and WHEREAS, Mohave County could use a share of this reallocation for park and recreation purposes for the citizens of Mohave County along the Colorado River, and WHEREAS, Mohave County has designated ten acres of land adjacent to Centennial Park as land for recreation purposes and is now willing to deed that land to the City under certain circumstances, and . . . WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has determined that it would be in the best interest of the citizens of Mohave County to encourage recreation, for generations to come, by working together with vision and unity with all municipalities toward that end. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County asks the Common Council of the City of Kingman, for the benefit of all citizens in Mohave County and specifically to provide better Parks and recreation facilities in the County, to grant the County 300 acre feet of the City~s Colorado River Water Allocation.
