WltEREAS, the Board of Supervisors met in Regular Session this 5th day of October 1997,
and
WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Community and Highway Safety is seeking
proposals from state and local jurisdictions for projects relating to all aspects of highway safety and
WltEREAS, the Mohave County Sheriff's office, is interested in submitting projects to be
considered for funding in the form of reimbursable grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration and the Federal Highway Administration, and
WltEREAS, the Mohave County Sheriff and the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has
determined that it would be in the best interest and safety of the citizens of Mohave County to enter
into a contractual agreement with the Governor's Office of Community and Highway Safety
(GOCHS) to provide and sponsor a forty hour Critical Accident Investigation training class by
applying for a reimbursable grant in the amount of $3,500.00, and
WHEREAS, Tom Sheahan, Mohave County Sheriff, is authorized to execute and to conduct
all negotiations, and submittal of documents and any other necessary or desirable instruments in
connection with such grant.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors
this 5~h day of October, 1998.
