RESOLUTION NO. 98-434
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NO. 95-133
WHICH APPROVED THE SPECIFIC USE PERMIT ON PARCEL A, AS SHOWN ON PARCEL
PLATS BOOK 4, PAGE 67, IN SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 22 WEST, IN THE
SOUTH MOHAVE VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on December
7, 1998, a public heating was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission
of the Resolution for the Specific Use Permit for the above-described property, as requested by Jamie Kelley
of Bullhead City, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this property is located south of Bullhead City on the west side of State Highway 95,
between Jerome Avenue and the western extension of Hulet Avenue. The site is accessed directly from State
Highway 95 to the west. The property is flat and is surrounded by a view-obscuring fence. The surrounding
land uses consist of several metal buildings, the Mohave Valley Irrigation & Drainage District buildings to
the southwest, the Ram Tire Company is to the north, and the remaining surrounding property is vacant.
There are no significant drainage patterns, and
WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a Specific Use Permit for the storage of
construction equipment and RV parking in an M (General Manufacturing) zone by the Mohave County
Board of Supervisors on April 3, 1995, via BOS Resolution No. 95-133. There have not been any
Extensions of Time requested. A letter had been sent on August 12, 1998, to the owner notifying them that
their approval of their Specific Use Pemfit has expired and an Extension of Time was required. In their
letter dated September 3, 1998, the property owner requested that the Specific Use Permit be rescinded. The
Mohave County General Plan designates this area as an Urban Development Area, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The site has legal access.
d. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site.
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
November 12, 1998, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution No. 95-133 be RESCiNDED.

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, November 18, 1998, and posted on November 20, 1998,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, December 7, 1998, RESCINDED BOS Resolution No. 95-133, as recommended by the Mohave
County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
