RESOLUTION NO. 98-440
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NO. 95-284
WHICH APPROVED THE REZONE FOR LOT 1, BLOCK B, GOLDEN SAGE RANCHOS, UNIT
66, IN SECTION 3, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY
AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on December
7, 1998, a public heating was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission
of the Resolution for the Rezone for the above-described property as requested by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Department. The property o~vner is Dean E. Finkbeiner of Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this property is located north of State Highway 68, between Egar Road and Estrella
Road. The site is accessed from State Highway 68 via north on Estrella Road to Agua Fria Drive, then west
on Agua Fria Drive to the site, located on the southwest comer ofAgua Fria Drive and Escuela Road. The
property is vacant and relatively flat, sloping slightly to the southeast. There are no significant drainage
patterns, and
WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a rezone to A-R/lA (Agricultural-
Residential/One Acre Minimmn Lot Size) by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on July 5, 1995, via
BOS Resolution No. 95-284. There have not been any requests for an Extension of Time. A letter had been
sent to the owner notifying them that the approval of their rezoning has expired and an Extension of Time
was required. There were no responses to the Planning and Zoning Department's inquiry concerning an
Extension of Time. Another letter was sent infomfing the property owner that it would be scheduled for
rescission. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as a Suburban Development Area, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The site has legal access.
d. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site.
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Plauning and Zoning Commission on
November 12, 1998, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution No. 95-284 be RESCINDED and
that the zoning will revert to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size).

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, November 18, 1998, and posted on November 20, 1998,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, December 7, 1998, RESCINDED BOS Resolution No. 95-284 and REVERTED the zoning to
A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size), as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
