A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF SPEED LIMIT SIGNS ON THE
UNIMPROVED PORTION OF STOCKTON HILL ROAD FROM THE END OF PAVEMENT
NORTH TO THE INTERSECTION OF PIERCE FERRY ROAD, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in regular session on July 13, 1998
; and
WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and
maintain traffic control devices on streets and higl~vays under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to
regulate, warn or guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Committee was established to review the warrants and make
recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Mohave
County; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the circumstances surrounding the
warrants for posting traffic control devices on certain roads as presented herein; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Cormnittee has made its recommendation for the posting of traffic
control devices on such roads,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed
by the Board of Supervisors to REMOVE the following traffic control devices as recommended by the
Traffic Safety Committee at the meeting on February 12, 1998.
Remove speed limit signs on the unimproved portion of Stockton Hill Road
from the end of pavement at mile post _22.1 North to the intersection of
Pierce Ferry Road.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on July 13, 1998
