DENIAL OF REQUEST FOR KIRKLAND ROAD EN GOLDEN VALLEY TO BE
ACCEPTED INTO THE TERTIARY ROAD MAINTENANCE SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Mohave County, through its Board of Supervisors, has established an Ordinance
allowing the acceptance of certain roadways in Mohave County into the Tertiary Road Maintenance
System; and,
WHEREAS, under the terms of such Ordinance, residems of Mohave County have submitted
a Petition to the Board of Supervisors requesting that a certain roadway or roadways in their area be
accepted into the Mohave County Tertiary Road Maintenance System. Such roadway or roadways
is/are specifically set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
WHEREAS, the Mohave County Public Works Department together with the Mohave
County Engineer have reviewed this request and recommended that the roadway(s) not be accepted
into the Tertiary Road Maintenance System based on the following findings:
Roadway has not been constructed to Mohave County Tertiary Maintenance
Standards.
TI~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mohave County Board of Supervisors hereby
denies the acceptance of the roadway(s) set forth in Exhibit "A" into the Mohave County Tertiary
Road Maintenance System and does not accept such roadway(s) for maintenance.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 10~ day of August, 1998.

KIRKLAND ROAD FROM STATE ROUTE 68 NORTH FOR APPROXIMATELY 0.4
