HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-304 ~- ' ~~'" ~ OFFICIAL REC:ORD~ OF HOHAVE (:00NTYf AZ '~g,~ JOAN MC CALL, MOHAVE COIJNI'Y RECORDER _-~-~'~ 08117/98 ll:20A PAGE 1 01:: :'~ ~ ,%~ MOHAVE COUNTY BOARD OF SUF'ERVISORS RECORDING FEE 0,00 RESOLUTION NO. 98-304 WHEREAS, the board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in Regular session on this 104 day of August, 1998 and WHEREAS, after proceedings to that end duly had and taken pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes Section 48-905, this Board did on July 27, 1998, notice, agendize and set for public hearing the formation of Greenwood Village Improvement District, wherein it did fix this date and place as the time and place of hearing; WHEREAS, not!ce of hearing has been given for the time and in the manner provided in said Section and as appears from affidavits filed with the Clerk of this Board; WHEREAS, 0 Persons wishing to object to the establishment of the proposed district have, before the date set for hearing, filed their objections with the Clerk of this Board, and 0 persons appeared at the hearing and presented oral objections thereto; and WHEREAS, evidence, oral and documentary, has been adduced to this Board has duly considered the same; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, AS FOLLOWS: I. That the Petition as permitted by Statutes was presented to this Board, as a result of which it set this hearing. 2. That the Petition was signed by the requisite number of owners of real property within the proposed District, as prescribed by Arizona Revised Statutes § 48~903 (A) and is sufficient. 3. That the public convenience, necessity and welfare will be promoted by the establishment of the District. 4. That all of the property within the proposed District will be benefitted by being formed into such District and that said proposed District includes all of the property that would be benefitted by being so formed. That the boundaries of said District are hereby established as those more particularly set forth in the Exhibit "A" hereto attached and by reference made a part hereof. 6. That said territory is hereby declared formed into a County Improvement District under the corporate narne of Greenwood Village Improvement District for carrying on all purposes permitted by law including the purposes of construction, obtaining and maintaining streets, bridges, water systems, water, sewer systems and water drainage, and other local improvements whatsoever permitted by such a district, ail of said work and/or acquisitions to be financed by special assessments levied against the lots within the District and the issuance of assessment bonds as may now or hereafter be ordered pursuant to the County Improvement District Laws. 7. That the said District may also pursuant to law and upon meeting the requirements of notice and hearing, change other fees assessments special changes for providing services, and for maintaining, construction and/or repairing the systems, facilities and other improvements also permitted by law. 8. Said District shall hereafter be body corporate with the powers prescribed by law of a municipal corporation for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Resolution and as otherwise permitted by law.
