HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-091 RESOLUTION NO. 99- 9] A RESOLUTION REMOVING THE 45 MILE PER HOUR ZONE ON COUNTY HIGHWAY ROUTE 91 FROM MILE POST 9.$8 TO MILE POST 10.77 AND MAINTAINING A CONTINUOUS 35 MILE PER HOUR ZONE FROM MILE POST 8.85 TO MILE POST 10.77. BEAVER DAM/LITTLE FIELD, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in regular session on March 08, 1999, and WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and maintain traff'~ control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic; and WHEREAS, a Traffk Safety Committee was established to review the waza~ and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Mohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the circumstances surrounding the warrants for posting traffic control devices on certain roads as presented herein; and WHEREAS, the Traff'~ Safety Committee has made its recommendation for the posting of traffic control devices on such roads, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed by the Board of Supervisors to place the following traffic control devices as recommended by the Mohave County Department of Engineering and the Traffic Safety Committee: Remove the 45 mile per hour zone on County Highway Route 91 from mile post 9.38 to mile post 10.77 and maintaining a continuous 35 mile per hour zone from mile post 8.85 to mile post 10.77.
