HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-147 RESOLUTION NO. 99- A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF GORDON DRIVE AND WILLOW ROAD TO DESIGNATE A FOUR WAY STOP. NORTH KINGMAN AREA, lqOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in regular session on April 05, 1999, and WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-64~3 and 28-8S5 authorize local authorities to place and maintain traff'~ control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to regulate, warn or guide traff'~; and WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Commktee was established to review the engineering study and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices wkhin Mohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the engineering study for posting traffk control devices on roads within lqohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traff'; Safety Committee has made ks recommendation for the posting of traffic control on such roads; and WHEREAS, this intersection is under the joint jurisdiction of the City of Kingman and Moheve County; and WHEREAS, the City of IOngman Traff'; Safety Committee has reviewed the Mohave County Department of Engineering Study and does approve and concur with the study, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works b hereby directed by the Board of Supervisors to place the following traffic control devices as recommended by the Mohave County Department of Engineering Traffic Study and the Traffic Safety Committee: Post Stop signs at the intersection of Gordon Drive and Willow Road stopping West Bound and East Bound Traffic on Gordon Road thus making a four way stop at this intersection.
