HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-150 RESOLUTION NO. 99-150 WHEREAS, theBoardofSupervisorsmetinRegular Sessionthis26thday of April, 1999, and WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is seeking proposals from state and local jurisdictions for projects relating to all aspects of highway safety and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office, is interested in submitting projects to be considered for funding in the form of reimbursable grants from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Federal Highway Administration, and WHEREAS, the Mohave County Sheriff and the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has determined that it would be in the best interest and safety of the citizens of Mohave County to enter into a contractual agreement with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) to operate a sobriety check point, purchase traffic radar units, purchase spike strips, and to purchase portable alcohol breath testers, all in the amount of $38,447.11, and WHEREAS, Tom Sheahan, Mohave County Sheriff, is authorizedto execute andto conduct all negotiations, and submittal of documents and any other necessary or desirable instruments in connection with such grant.
