HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-188 RESOLUTION NO. 99- 185 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF HOUCK ROAD AND SHIPP DRIVE. GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Moheve County met in regular session on MAY 24, 1999, and WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and maintain trafr~ control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic; and WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Committee was established to review the engineering study and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Mohave County; and WHEREA.~, the Traff*~ Safety Committee has reviewed the ensineering study for posting traffic control devices on road(s) wkhin Mohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has made ks recommendation for the posting of traffic control on such roads; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed by the Board of Supervisors to place the following traffic control devices as recommended by the Mohave County Department of Engineering and the Traff'~ Safety Committee: Post stop si~r~ on the Northwest and Southeast corners of the intersection of Houck Road and Shipp Drive stopping trafrm traveling North and South on Houck Road as recommended in the Engineering traffic study dated 5/06/1999 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on MAY 24,1999.
