HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-190 RESOLUTION NO. 99-190 WHEREAS, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors has, by Resolution NO. 98-303 (the "Budget Resolution"), established a budget for the County, for the fisc"al year ending June 30, 1999, and has specifically approved an appropriation from the County General Fund for the Superior Court (the "Superior Court Appropriation"); WHEREAS, the Budget Resolution requires that the Superior Court Appropriation be expended for specific purposes; and WHEREAS, the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court has advised the Board of Supervisors (1) that he desires, without exceeding the Superior Court Appropriation, to retain the services of an additional employee for the Superior Court not specifically authorized in the Budget Resolution, and (2) that, pursuant to the Judicial Employee Merit System Rules of the Superior Court in Mohave Countyf adopted by the Presiding Judge effective May 4, 1998, the Presiding Judge has reclassified certain employee positions within the Superior Court in such a manner as will require additional compensation for those positions, but again without exceeding the .Superior Court Appropriation, NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved as follows: 1. Notwithstanding the specific line items and purposes identified in the Budget Resolution, the Superior Court may, without exceeding the total amount of the Superior Court Allocation, la] retain an additional employee for the Superior Court and expend previously appropriated funds therefor, as the Presiding Judge deems proper, legal and appropriate; lb) expend previously appropriated funds, as the Presiding Judge deems proper, legal and appropriate, due to the reclassifications of (i) A part-time Clerical Temporary position in the ADR Department of the Superior Court to full time permanent Parent Education Office Clerk; (ii) ADR Coordinator to ADR Administrator; and (iii) An Office Assistant Senior positJon in the ADR Department of the Superior Court to Secretary General. 2. Nothing in this Resolution shall be construed (i) so as to permit any use of the Superior Court Allocation except as expressry provided in this Resolution or in _ the Budget Resolution; {ii) so as to authorize any expenditure by the Superior Court in excess of the Superior Court Allocation; or (iii) so as to require any budget appropriation or to authorize any expenditure in any fiscal year subsequent to the County fiscal year ending June 30, 1999. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 24 day of May, 1999.
