RESOLUTION NO. 99-259
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NO. 96-200
WHICH APPROVED THE REZONE OF PARCEL A, AS SHOWN ON RECORD OF SURVEY,
BOOK 2, PAGE 40, IN SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, IN THE
MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on July 9,
1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission
of the Resolutions for the Rezone for the above-described property as requested by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Department. The property owners of record are Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hoagland, and Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Wood of Kingman, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this property is located west of Stockton Hill Road. The site is accessed from Stockton
Hill Road via west on Quail Crest Road to the section line between Sections 34 and 35, then north
approximately three-eighths mile on the north/south section line road to the east end of the site. The
property has a small building on it. The terrain is gently rolling. The surrounding land uses consist of
vacant land and one house. The property is a drainage way and there currently is a zoning violation on the
property, and
WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a rezone to A-R/5A (Agricultural-
Residential/Five Acre Minimum Lot Size) by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on June 3, 1996,
via BOS Resolution No. 96-200. There have not been any requests for Extensions of Time. None of the
Conditions of Approval on the Rezone action have been accomplished. A letter was sent informing the
property owner that it would be scheduled for rescission. The Mohave County General Plan designates this
area as a Rural Development Area and the Long Mountain Area Plan designates this area as RR/36A (Rural
Residential/Thirty-six Acre Minimum Lot Size), and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan but does not
comply with the Long Mountain Area Plan.
c. The site has legal access.
d. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site other than the above
mentioned wash.

WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on
June 9, 1999, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution No. 96-200 be RESCINDED and that
the zoning will revert to A-R/36A (Agricultural-Residential/Thirty-six Acre Minimum Lot Size).
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, June 23, 1999, and posted on June 24, 1999, as required
by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE 1T RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Friday, July 9, 1999, RESCINDED BOS Resolution No. 96-200 and REVERTED the zoning to A-R/36A
(Agricultural-Residential/Thirty-six Acre Minimum Lot Size), as recommended by the Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
