WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on July 9, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the naming of a 50-foot Roadway Ingress & Egress/Public Utility Easement in the described area, as requested by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Department, Kingman, Arizona, and WHEREAS, the roadway ingress/egress easement proposed to be nmned is located in Dolan Springs, just east of Highway 93 and north of Seventh Street. This roadway ingress/egress easement is accessed via Pierce Ferry Road, going west on Seventh Street approximately one quarter mile to Chloride Drive, then north one-eighth mile to the roadway ingress/egress easement. The 50-foot roadway ingress/ egress easement runs east off Chloride Drive for approximately 652 feet between Lots 106 and 119, Gateway Acres, Tract 9, and WHEREAS, this roadway ingress/egress easement was designated as "Terry Road" when it was originally established, sometime prior to December 23, 1980, as evidenced by a Historical Septic Permit found on record. The name was inadvertently dropped since that time and the properties along this roadway ingress/egress easement were utilizing addresses off of Chloride Drive. An adjoining property owner, Margaret Williams, had experienced numerous problems with the assignment of a "Chloride Drive" address, including parcel delivery, service calls, and finally, a call to 911 for emergency medical assistance. Her property is located at the end of this roadway ingress/egress easement on the north side. She requested that some type of action be taken to alleviate future problems. It was determined that due to the length of the roadway ingress/egress easement, it should have its own name designation and "Terry Road" was chosen as the name to be reinstated, and WHEREAS, this action is being initiated by the Mohave County Addressing Coordinator to correct an addressing anomaly for 911 purposes, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The roadway' ingress/egress easement is legally accessible from another road right-of-way. RESOLUTION NO. 99-261 Page 2 d. The roadway ingress/egress easement name has been checked for compliance with the Mohave County 911 addressing regulations for road naming. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Commission on June 9, 1999, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of TERRY ROAD as the name of the roadway and public utility easement as shown on Exhibit "A." WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, June 23, 1999, and posted on June 24, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Friday, July 9, 1999, APPROVED TERRY ROAD as the roadway and public utility easement name as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
