HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-266 RESOLUTION NO. 99-. 266 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF VALENCIA ROAD AND INFANTRY ROAD, FORT MOHAVE MESA AREA MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in regular session on JUNE 30, 1999, and WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and maintain traffic control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffk; and WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Committee was established to review the engineering study and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Mohave County; and WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the engineering study for IXtsting ~,.'~k: control devices on road(s) within Mohave County; and Ode WHEREAS, the Traffk Safety Committee has made its recommendation for the posting of traffic control vices on such roads; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed by the Board of Supervisors to place tho following traffic control devices as recommended by the Mohave County Department of Engineering and the Traffic Safety Committee: Post stop sign on the Northeast corner of the intersection of Valencia Road and Infantry Road stopping traffic traveling West on Valenda Road as recommended by the Department of Engineering at the June 8, 1999 Traffic Safety Commktee meeting. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on JUNE RVISORS
