HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-292 RESOLUTION NO. 99-292 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTIt A ZONING USE PERMIT ON PARCEL II-P-B, KINGMAN AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK, IN SECTION 26, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, ILANGE 16 WEST, FOR A 1,000-GALLON PROPANE TANK TO BE USED WITH THE CRASH FIREFIGHTING TRAINING SITE IN AN A-D (AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT) ZONE, IN THE KINGMAN AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. W! IEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on August 9, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether a Zoning Use Permit should be granted for the above described property as reques[ed by Jim Dykens, Deputy Fire Chief, representing the Hualapai Valley Fire l)eparm~ent of Kingman, Arizona. and WIt EREAS, this property is located north of thc City of Kingman in the Kingman Airport Industrial Park. The site is accessed from State Highway 66 (Old US Highway 66) via southeast on Mohave Airport Drive to Olympic Way, then northeas! on Olympic Way to the site, located on the southwest side of the intersection of Olympic Way and Bruce Drive. The property is vacant and relatively flat, sloping very slightly to the southeast. The surroandiug land uses consist of the Kingman Municipal Airport complex to thc cast and nnmerons industrial enterprises within the Kingman Airport Industrial Park to the north, west and south. I'bere are uo significant drainage patterns, and WItEREAS, thc applicant requests this Zoning Use Permit for a 1,000-gallon propane tank to be used with the crash firefighting traiuing site in an A-D (Airport Development) zone. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as an Urban Development Area, and WHEREAS, a review of FEMA FIIL/M Panel #040058-2170B indicates the parcel described to be in Zone C, not in the FEMA Special Flood Hazard Area, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are lbr the above-captioned item: All notices haxc been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed actiun and elt'ect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The site is adequate for the action intended and the use is consistent with the surrounding land uses and terrain. d. l'be site has legal access. c. There are no signil]cant environmeutal features affecting the site. Tbis Zoning Use Permit is tbr a 1,000-gallon propane tm~k to be used with the crash lh'efighting training site in an A-D (Airpo~ Development) zone and activities related thereto. 2. The applicant shall comply with al1 applicable provisions of the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. Sec[ion 27.P (Site Plan Requirements) must be completed and approved prior to approval of permits and bctbre establishing tbe use. 3. Thc appropriate zoning, building, environmental, and floodplain permits xvill be obtained prior to construction. 4. If construction or use has not commenced within one year of Board approval of the Zoning Use i)ennit or if thc use bas been discontinued for six months, &en approval shall terminate at that date. 5. This Zoning Use Permit is sn~ject to revocation upon 60 days notification by ~e Board of Supcrvisors if, in thc opinion of tbe Commission and Bo~d, the continued use of the property ~ould be contrary to the pnblic health, safety, and welfare. ~ ilEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of gener~ circulation in Kingman, Mo]m~e Cot nty, Arizona, July 21, 1999, and posted on July 23, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave Connty Zoning Regulations. NOW TItEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, tbat the Board of Superwsors, at their regular meeting on Monckty, August 9, 1999.
