A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH 60-FOOT ROADWAY AND PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
NAMINGS IN SHADOW CANYON RANCHES, IN SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 23 NORTH,
RANGE 17 WEST, THE ROADWAY EASEMENT NAMES BEING LOST SHADOW LANE,
HIDDEN SHADOW LANE, SHADOW CANYON ROAD, DRIFTING SHADOW LANE, SUMMER
SHADOW LANE, MOON SHADOW LANE, DANCING SHADOW LANE, EVENING SHADOW
LANE, PAINTED StlADOW LANE, AND DESERT SHADOW LANE, IN THE KINGMAN AREA,
MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS. at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on August 9,
1999, a public hearing was conducted to detem~ine whether approval should be granted for the naming of
60-1bet Roadway and Public Utility Easements in the described area, as requested by Phyllis Standers,
Kingman, Arizona, and
WItEREAS, tbe roadway and public utility easements to be named are located in Shadow Canyon
Ranches. approximately eight miles north of the City of Kingman and two miles west of Stockton Hill Road.
Thc casements are accessed fi'om Stockton Hill Road, heading north on Shadow Canyon Road for one mile,
then nurtlawest Ibr one mile to the sits. Shadow Canyon Ranches consists of one square mile; all of Section
i 1, 'l'ownship 23 North, Range 17 West. As a result ora group effbrt of current residents in the area, all of
thc roads have been proposed to be named as above. The name "Shadow Canyon Road," which accesses
the prc(iect off of Stockton Hill Road, has been informally used for quite some time; however, it has never
received Board of Supervisors approval, ffthis name is accepted with this request, the name will be applied
to the entire alignmeut of this dedicated right-of-way, which travels through State land, and
WHEREAS, this road naming application has been reviewed by the Mohave County Rural
Addressing Coordinator. There have been two responses in lhvor of and none objecting to the proposed road
WI IEREAS, the lbl[owing described Findings el'Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and ell~ect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. l'l~e roadway easements are legally accessible fi'om another road right-of-way.
d. All property owners ac[ioining the roadway easelnents were notified by first class mail.

WHEREAS, at tile public bearing bctbrc the Mohave County Plmming & Zoning Commission on
July 14, 1999, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of LOST SHADOW LANE, HIDDEN
SHADOW LANE, SHADOW CANYON ROAD, DRIFTING SHADOW LANE, SUMMER SHADOW
LANE, MOON SHADOW LANE, DANCING SttADOW LANE, EVENING SHADOW LANE, PAINTED
SHADOW LANE, AND DESERT SHADOW LANE, as the names of the roadway mad public utility
easements as shown on Exhibit "A."
WHEREAS. the notice ol' bearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circuhttion in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizoua, July 21, 1999, and posted on July 23, 1999, as required
by Arizonu Revised Statutes und thc Mohave Cottnty Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE El' RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, August 9~ 1999. APPF, OVED LOST SHADOW LANE, HIDDEN SHADOW LANE,
SHADOW CANYON ROAD, DRIFTING SHADOW LANE, SUMMER SHADOW LANE, MOON
SItADOW LANE, DANCING SHADOW LANE, EVENING SHADOW LANE, PAINTED SHADOW
LANE. AND DESERT SHADOW LANE, as the roadway and public utility easement names as
recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Con'nnission and outlined herein.
