HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-337 RESOLUTION NO. 99-337 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NO. 90-285 WHICH APPROVED THE REZONE FOR LOT 16, BLOCK J, GOLDEN VALLEY RANCHOS, UNIT 12, IN SECTION 33, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on September 7, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission of the Resolution for the Rezone for the above-described property as requested by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Department. The property owner of record is Paula G. Rishovd of Golden Valley, Arizona, and WHEREAS, this property is located south of Arizona State Highway 68, between Egar Road and Gutlu-ie Road. The site is accessed from Arizona State Highway 68 via south on Egar Road to Tapeats Drive, then west on Tapeats Drive to the site, located on the southeast comer of Tapeats Drive and Dewey Road. The property has a single-family residence on it and the terrain is gently rolling hills, generally sloping slightly to the southeast. Them are no significant drainage patterns, and WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a rezone to A-R/lA (Agricultural- Residential/One Acre Minimum Lot Size) by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on October 1, 1990, via BOS Resolution No. 90-285. There have not been any requests for Extensions of Time from the property owner. A letter was sent infomfing the property owner that it would be scheduled for rescission. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as a Suburban Development Area, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The site has legal access. d. There are no significant envirmm~ental features affecting the site. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission on August 11, 1999, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution No. 90-285 be RESCiNDED and that the zoning will revert to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size), and RESOLUTION NO. 99-337 Page 2 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, August 18, 1999, and posted on August 20, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 1999, RESCINDED BOS Resolution No. 90-285 and REVERTED the zoning to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size), as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
