HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-338 RECORDING FEE RESOLUTION NO. 99-338 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NO. 93-258 VCHICII APPROVED THE REZONE FOR LOT i2, BLOCK D, GOLDEN SAGE RANCHOS, UNIT 64, IN SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 22 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on September 7, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission of the Resolution for the Rezone for the above-described property as requested by the Mohave County Plarming and Zoning Department. The property owner of record is William Edwards of Kingman, Arizona, and WHEREAS, this property is located north of Arizona State Highway 68, between Teddy Roosevelt Road and Laguna Road. The site is accessed from Arizona State Highway 68 via north on Teddy Roosevelt Road to Pioneer Drive, then west on Pioneer Drive to Glen Canyon Road, then north on Glen Canyon Road to the site, located on the east side approximately 700 feet north of Pioneer Drive. The property has a single- family residence on it and the terrain is relatively flat, sloping slightly to the south. There are no significant drainage patterns, mad WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a rezone to A-P, JlA (Agricultural- Residential/One Acre Minimum Lot Size) by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on September 7, 1993, via BOS Resolution No. 93-258. There have not been any requests for Extensions of Time from the property owner. A letter was sent informing the property owner that it would be scheduled for rescission. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as a Rural Development Area, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The site has legal access. d. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Plamfing and Zoning Commission on August 11, 1999, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution No. 93-258 be RESCINDED and that the zoning will revert to A-P, J2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size). RESOLUTION NO. 99-338 Page 2 WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, August 18, 1999, and posted on August 20, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 7, 1999, RESCINDED BOS Resolution No. 93-258 and REVERTED the zoning to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size), as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein. ..,¥.
