RESOLUTION NO. 99-381
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RESCISSION OF BOS RESOLUTION NOS. 92-238. 93-
253 AND 94-265 WHICH APPROVED THE REZONE AND THE EXTENSIONS OF TIME FOR
THE REZONE FOR LOT 1, BLOCK B, GOLDEN VALLEY RANCHOS, UNIT 14, IN SECTION
27, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, IN THE GOLDEN VALLEY AREA, MOHAVE
COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on October
4, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted for the Rescission
of the Resolutions for the Rezone and the Extensions of Time for the Rezone for the above-described
property as requested by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Department. The property owners of
record are Josephine Letze and Rosemarie Letze of Golden Valley, Arizona, and
WHEREAS, this property is located south of Arizona State Highway 68, between Estrella Road and
Egar Road. The site is accessed from Arizona State Highway via south on Estrella Road to Bolsa Drive,
then west on Bolsa Drive to the site, located on the southwest comer of Bolsa Drive and Escuela Road. The
property has a single-family residence and a travel trailer on it and the terrain is relatively flat, sloping
slightly to the east. There are no significant drainage patterns, and
WHEREAS, this property was conditionally approved for a rezone to A-R/IA (Agricultural-
Residential/One Acre Minimum Lot Size) by the Mohave County Board of Supervisors on July 6, 1992, via
BOS Resolution No. 92-238. It was first extended on September 7, 1993, with BOS Resolution No. 93-253.
It was extended the second time with BOS Resolution No. 94-265 on August 8, 1994. There have not been
any more requests for Extensions of Time. A letter was sent informing the property owner that it would be
scheduled for rescission. The Mohave County General Plan designates this area as a Suburban Development
Area, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The site has legal access.
d. There are no significant environmental features affecting the site.
WItEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Plmming and Zoning Conunission on
September 8, 1999, the Commission recommended that BOS Resolution Nos. 92-238, 93-253 a~nd 94-265
be RESCINDED and that the zoning revert to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot
Size).

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, September 15, 1999, and posted on September 17, 1999,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Boaxd of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, October 4, 1999, RESCINDED BOS Resolution Nos. 92-238, 93-253 and 94-265 and
REVERTED the zoning to A-R/2A (Agricultural-Residential/Two Acre Minimum Lot Size), as
reconmaended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
