RESOLUTION NO. 99-393
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE NAMING OF FIVE {5) ROADWAYS IN SECTION 5,
TOWNSHIP 27 NORTH, RANGE 17 WEST, THE ROADWAY NAMES BEING ABERNATHY
DRIVE, DONCHE RIDGE ROAD, FULCHER DRIVE, LUCY LANE, AND STEINER ROAD, IN
THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on Monday,
October 4, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to name
five (5) Roadways in the above-described area, as requested by Mohave County Planning and Zoning
Department, and
WHEREAS, the roadways to be named range in size from 42 to 70 feet in width. They are located
approximately one mile south of Pierce Ferry Road, east off of Stockton Hill Road. The three east/west
alignments, "Donche Ridge Road," "Lucy Lane," and "Steiner Road," are accessed directly from Stockton
Hill Road and run east for one mile. The other two, which are north/south alignments, "Abernathy Drive"
and "Fulcher Drive," are accessed from all three of the above and are also one mile in length. All roadways
have been dedicated to Mohave County, and
WHEREAS, the names were chosen by adjoining property owners and have been reviewed by the
Mohave County Addressing Coordinator for duplication. They were assigned for the purpose of making
addressing available for the installation of utilities and permit processing. The names are currently being
used for addressing of adjoining properties by property owners. This action is to legitimize the road names
for the 911 Emergency Response System and cartographic documentation. There have been no objections
to the roadway names, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
h. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The roadways are legally accessible from another road right-of-way.
d. The roadway names have been checked for compliance with the Mohave County 911
addressing regulations for road naming.
WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Commission on
September 8, 1999, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of ABERNATHY DRIVE, DONCHE
RIDGE ROAD, FULCHER DRIVE, LUCY LANE, AND STEINER ROAD as the names of the roadways
as shown on Exhibit "A."

WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, September 15, 1999, and posted on September 17, 1999,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, October 4, 1999, APPROVED ABERNATHY DRIVE, DONCHE RIDGE ROAD, FULCHER
DRIVE, LUCY LANE, AND STEINER ROAD as the roadway names as recommended by the Mohave
County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
