RESOLUTION NO. 99-395
A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE NAMING OF TWO (2) ROADWAY AND PUBLIC
UTILITY EASEMENTS IN CEDAR HILLS RANCHES, UNIT 7, AND RECORD OF SURVEY
BOOK 1, PAGES 20, 23, AND 25, IN SECTIONS 25, 26, 35, AND 36, TOWNSHIP 21 NORTH,
RANGE 14 WEST, THE ROADWAY EASEMENT NAMES BEING TOWHEE RIDGE AND
SANDY HILL TRAIL, IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY,
ARIZONA.
WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on Monday,
October 4, 1999, a public heahng was conducted to detemaine whether approval should be granted to name
two (2) Roadway and Public Utility Easements in the above-described area, as requested by Mohave County
Planning and Zoning Department, and
WHEREAS, the roadway easements to be named are 60 feet in width. The first roadway easement,
"Towhee Ridge," is accessed off of Hidden Valley Road approximately two miles west of Highway 93. This
roadway easement runs north off Hidden Valley Road for approximately 3,949 feet to the south side of
Interstate 40. The alignment for tlfis roadway easement continues north of Interstate 40 for approximately
one and one-quarter miles to Line Drive. If this road name is approved, the name will be can'ied forth along
ttfis alignment in the future. The second roadway easement, "Sandy Hill Trail," is accessed from Towhee
Ridge going east for 1,410 feet to its terminus, and
WHEREAS, the name "Sandy Hill Trail" was chosen by an adjoining property owner and "Towhee
Ridge" was assigned by the Mohave County Addressing Coordinator. The names have been reviewed for
duplication. They were assigned for the purpose of making addressing available for the installation of
utilities and permit processing. The names are currently being used for addressing of adjoining properties
by property owners. This action is to legitimize the road names for the 911 Emergency Response System
and cartographic documentation. There have been no objections to the roadway names, and
WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item:
a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations.
b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan.
c. The roadway easements are legally accessible from another road right-of-way.
d. The roadway easement names have been checked for compliance with the Mohave County
911 addressing regulations for road naming.

WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Conmfission on
September 8, 1999, the Conunission recommended APPROVAL of TOWHEE RIDGE and SANDY HILL
TRAIL as the names of the roadway and public utility easements as shown on Exhibit "A."
WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general
circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, September 15, 1999, and posted on September 17, 1999,
as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting
on Monday, October 4, 1999, APPROVED TOWHEE RIDGE and SANDY HILL TRAIL as the roadway
and public utility easement names as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning
Commission and outlined herein.
