A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF SILVER
SPRINGS ROAD AND 1-40 FRONTAGE ROAD. AREA OF 1-40 AND SILVER SPRINGS ROAD EAST OF
KINGHAN, lvIOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Mohave County met in regular session on November 01, 1999,
and
WHEREAS, A.R.S. §§ 28-627, 28-643 and 28-855 authorize local authorities to place and maintain
r~affic control devices on streets and highways under their jurisdiction as deemed necessary Co regulate, warn or
guide traffic; and
WHEREAS, a Traffic Safety Committee was established to review the engineering study and make
recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for establishing traffic control devices within Hohave County; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has reviewed the engineering study for posting traffic control
devices on road(s) within Hohave County; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Committee has made its recommendation for the posting of traffic control
devices on such roads;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Department of Public Works is hereby directed by the
Board of Supervisors co place the following traffic control devices as recommended by the Mohave County
Deparunent of Engineering and the Traffic Safety Committee:
Post stop sign on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Silver Springs Road and 1-40
Frontage Road stopping traffic traveling East on 1-40 Frontage Road as recommended in the
Depamnent of Engineering Traffic Engineering Study dated 8/31
1999 Traffic Safety Commilzee meeting.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on NOVE ~I~R 01,1999.
