RECORDS OF MOHAVE '~/-',/~ oo 04.:32P PAGE ~E)HflVE COUNTY BOARD OF' RECORO~NG FEE 0.00 RESOLUTION NO. 99-474 A RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE RENAMING OF (4) ROADWAYS IN SHADOW MOUNTAIN ACRES, UNIT 3, IN SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 24 NORTH, RANGE 14 WEST, THE PROPOSED ROAD NAMES BEING CALIFORNIA DRIVE, DUSTIN DRIVE, CHANTEL DRIVE, AND ELIZABETH DRIVE, REPLACING "WOODLEY AVENUE," "ERNEST ROAD," "GRANT DRIVE," AND "STEVENSON DRIVE," RESPECTIVELY, IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on December 6, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to rename four (4) roadways in the described area, as requested by Dustin Chantel, Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Chantel is the primary, property owner in the project and wishes to rename these roads prior to marketing the property, and WHEREAS, the roadways proposed to be renamed have been dedicated to the public and are 40 feet in width. They are located in Shadow Motmtain Acres, Unit 3. Proposed "Dustin Drive," "Chantel Drive," and "Elizabeth Drive" are located approximately three to three and one-half miles east of Antareg Road, running south offofHuntington Avenue for one mile. Proposed "California Drive" is the southern section line of Section 27, also being the south boundary of this subdivision. Woodley Avenue is being replaced by "California Drive," which is the name being used for this same alignment going east and west of this section, and WHEREAS, there have been no objections to this request. The application has been reviewed by the Mohave County Rural Addressing Coordinator for name duplication. The road name of "California Avenue" exists along the southern boundary of Shadow Mountain Acres, Unit 2, in Section 35. This road will be renamed, by separate action, to "El Norte Street," which is the name of this same alignment west of Section 35, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The roadways are legally accessible from another road right-of-way. The roadways are currently in the process of being graded by the applicant. d. The property owners along the alignment have been notified of this request by first class mail. e. The roadway names have been checked for compliance with the Mohave County 911 addressing regulations for road naming. RESOLUTION NO. 99-474 Page 2 WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Commission on November 10, 1999, the Conmfission recommended APPROVAL of CALIFORNIA DRIVE, DUSTIN DRIVE, CHANTEL DRIVE, and ELIZABETH DRIVE, as the name of the roadway and public utility easements as shown on Exhibit "A." WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, November 17, 1999, and posted on November 19, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, December 6, I999, APPROVED CALIFORNIA DRIVE, DUSTIN DRIVE, CHANTEL DRIVE, and ELIZABETH DRIVE as the roadway and public utility easement names, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
