RESOLUTION NO. 99-475 A RESOLUTION TO RENAME A ROADWAY IN FLANNERY & ALLEN TRACT 29-27-20, IN SECTIONS 29 AND 30, TOWNSHIP 27 NORTH, RANGE 20 WEST, THE PROPOSED ROAD NAME BEING FAIRWAY DRIVE, REPLACING "SOLOMON ROAD," IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on December 6, 1999, a public hearing ',vas conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to rename a Roadway in the described area, as requested by William Eversole, Las Vegas, Nevada. The owner of all adjoining property to the alignment proposed to be renan~ed is the applicant, and WHEREAS, the roadway proposed to be renamed is 30 feet in width. It is located in Flannery & Allen, Tract 29-27-20, approximately one and one-half miles east of Highway 93 off of White Hills Road. The application specifically requested the renaming of only the first one-mile section of Solomon Road, south of White Hills Road, and WHEREAS, research indicated that the t~vo-mile section of road north of White Hills Road was named "Garden Road" per BOS Resolution No. 78-32. The entire four-mile alignment was renamed to "Solomon Road" per BOS Resolution No. 90-290. Since this roadway is a section line road, continuing north and south of White Hills Road for approximately two miles in each direction, the name of"Fairway Drive," if approved, will be assumed along the entire alignment. The applicant has chosen this name due to future plans to construct a golf course, which will be accessed by this roadway, and WHEREAS, the application has been reviewed by the Mohave County Rural Addressing Coordinator for name duplication. There have been no objections to this request, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The roadway is legally accessible from another road right-of-way. dm The applicant is the sole property owner along the alignment requested to be renamed. e. The roadway name has been checked for compliance with the Mohave County 911 addressing regulations for road naming. RESOLUTION NO. 99-475 Page 2 WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Commission on November 10, 1999, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of FAIRWAY DRIVE as the name of the roadway as shown on Exhibit "A." WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, November 17, 1999, and posted on November 19, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, December 6, 1999, APPROVED FAIRWAY DRIVE as the roadway name, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein.
