L? fl£1HAYE COUNTY t2,/07/~_979 04:,~2F' F't~GE t I'IOHP~VE COUNTY BOA¢'.B O'F RECDRB'rN6 FEE RESOLUTION NO. 99-476 A RESOLUTION TO RENAME A ROADWAY IN SECTIONS 22 AND 27, TOWNSHIP 24 NORTH, RANGE 19 WEST, THE PROPOSED ROAD NAME BEING SANCTUARY ROAD, REPLACING "WHITE HILLS DRIVE," IN THE MOHAVE COUNTY GENERAL AREA, MOHAVE COUNTY, ARIZONA. WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Mohave County Board of Supervisors held on December 6, 1999, a public hearing was conducted to determine whether approval should be granted to rename a Roadway in the described area, as requested by the Mohave County Plamring and Zoning Department, and WHEREAS, the roadway proposed to be renamed is dedicated and is 25 feet in width. This road only actually exists along the section line between Sections 22 and 27, from Highway 93 east for approximately one-quarter mile. This roadway leads to the site of the future Pet Protection Organization. Upon request for addressing, it was determined that the name "White Hills Drive" needed to be changed to avoid future conflict with the well known "White Hills Road," which runs east and west off of Highway 93 north of this location. The project shown in the northeast quarter of Section 27, Western Horizon Estates, Unit 1, is a paper subdivision only. This action is to legitimize the road name for the 911 Emergency Response System and for cartographic documentation, and WHEREAS, the proposed name has been reviewed by the Mohave County Rural Addressing Coordinator for name duplication. Them have been no objections to this request, and WHEREAS, the following described Findings of Fact are for the above-captioned item: a. All notices have been advertised and posted according to regulations. b. The proposed action and effect complies with the Mohave County General Plan. c. The roadway is legally accessible from another road right-of-way. d. The roadway name has been checked for compliance with the Mohave County 911 addressing regulations for road naming. WHEREAS, at the public hearing before the Mohave County Planning & Zoning Commission on November 10, 1999, the Commission recommended APPROVAL of SANCTUARY ROAD as the name of the roadway as shown on Exhibit "A." WHEREAS, the notice of hearing was published in The Standard, a newspaper of general circulation in Kingman, Mohave County, Arizona, November 17, 1999, mad posted on November 19, 1999, as required by Arizona Revised Statutes and the Mohave County Zoning Regulations. RESOLUTION NO. 99-476 Page 2 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Boaxd of Supervisors, at their regular meeting on Monday, December 6, 1999, APPROVED SANCTUARY ROAD as the roadway name, as recommended by the Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission and outlined herein. ~'" Buster D.
