MOHAVE COUNTY ORDINANCE 2013-05
WHEREAS,A.R.S. §, 11-251.21,A.R.S. § 11-25.31 and A.R.S. § 11-251.05.A allows Mohave
County Board of Supervisors to make and enforce necessary rules and regulations for governing of its
body and the preservation of order and the transaction of business, and to make and enforce all local,
police, sanitary and other regulations not in conflict with general law; and
WHEREAS, for the purpose of this Ordinance,the following Definitions shall apply:
a. "Department" means any county agency, department,office, institution,board, commission,
committee and all other branches and divisions of county government.
b. "County Employee" means the county administrator, department directors, deputies and any
and all other persons employed by Mohave County,whether in unclassified or classified service.
For purposes of this ordinance, employee does not mean an elected official.
c. "Board of Supervisors" means those persons elected to the Board of Supervisors for Mohave
County,Arizona, or his or her lawful successor, sitting at a lawfully noticed meeting.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the following shall apply when providing false
information to, or withholding information from the Board of Supervisors:
a. A County Employee or Department shall not provide false information to any member of the
Board of Supervisors knowing, or having reason to know,that the information is false, or
withhold information to any member of the Board of Supervisors,with the intent to prejudice or
influence a decision by the Board of Supervisors.
b. A County Employee who violates this section is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
c. Any County Employee who is convicted of violating any provision of this section, or is found
to have violated this section following notice and opportunity to be heard in accordance with the
administrative procedures of Mohave County, Arizona, is subject to immediate termination of any
county employment.
