SUMMARIZE THE ISSUE&DESIRED ACTION CLEARLY/ATTACH BACKUP MATERIAL:
A petition has been received from Mohave County resident taxpayers to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors
requesting S. Kirkland, from W. Shinarump Drive to W. Patagonia, approximately 150 feet in an south to north general
course and direction, be accepted into the Mohave County Road System for regular maintenance, located in the Golden
Valley area.
Subsequent to BOS acknowledgment and referral of this regular road maintenance petition, the following milestones
guide the acceptance process culminating with such future consideration by the BOS under a time line managed by the
applicant:
1. Ensure petitioned road connects to another road or street presently maintained by Mohave County.
2. Provide required width of continuous right-of-way through road corridor as per Resolution No. 91-335.
3. Obtain Public Works approval of construction plans and specifications by an AZ-licensed engineer for construction of
road improvements and traffic control devices necessary to meet minimum County engineering standards for acceptance
as set forth under Resolution Nos. 91-335 and 2010-016 as well as the Mohave County Drainage Design Manual.
4. Obtain satisfactory Public Works inspection of constructed road improvements consistent with petition and approved
plans and specifications.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
Move to acknowledge receipt and refer to Public Works a petition to the Mohave County Board of Supervisors requesting
S. Kirkland, from W. Shinarump Drive to W. Patagonia, approximately 150 feet in a south to north general course and
direction, be accepted into the Mohave County Road System for regular maintenance, located in the Golden Valley
area.
